Explore CHEBLA olive oil certifications, quality controls and traceability measures supporting reliable international supply.
Buyers rarely ask for certificates out of curiosity: they ask because a customs officer, a retailer or an auditor will ask them. This page states what CHEBLA holds, what it can document, and what it does not claim.
Organic — CCPB srl (Italy). Our organic production is certified Bio-Oil by CCPB, an inspection and certification body accredited for organic certification under EU rules. The certificate covers the groves and the production chain, states the products and activities concerned, and carries a validity period. It is supplied with the commercial offer and reissued at each renewal, so the document in your file always matches the goods.
What we do not claim. Other schemes, ISO 22000 included, are available on request for a given project and confirmed in writing in the offer. We prefer to say so plainly rather than let a logo suggest otherwise.
The organic range itself is described on certified organic olive oil from Tunisia.
A certificate says what we are allowed to sell. Controls say what actually left the mill. They run at four moments, and each one can stop a lot:
Because the groves, the mill and the laboratory are in the same area, a lot that does not meet the specification is identified early rather than after bottling.
CHEBLA runs its own laboratory. It measures the parameters that define the category and the shelf life of the oil, and adds a sensory assessment, which is what separates an extra virgin from a virgin as much as any figure.
| Parameter | What it tells the buyer |
|---|---|
| Free acidity | Fruit condition and speed between picking and pressing |
| Peroxide value | State of oxidation at the time of analysis |
| UV absorption (K232, K270) | Refining or thermal treatment, and oxidation |
| Total polyphenols | Natural antioxidant load, bitterness and keeping quality |
| Sensory assessment | Fruitiness, bitterness, pungency and absence of defect |
Values by range are published on olive oil quality and international standards, and the laboratory itself on olive oil laboratory analysis.
Traceability is the link between the certificate and the pallet in front of you. Each lot is identified at olive reception and followed through pressing, storage, filling and shipment. The lot number printed on the packaging is the thread back through that chain.
For an organic shipment, the chain also has to be physically separate from conventional production — separate crates, separate pressing slots, separate tanks — otherwise the organic claim cannot be defended in an audit.
The record chain is described step by step on olive oil traceability from farm to bottle.
Our categories follow the International Olive Council framework: extra virgin, virgin and the organic selection held to a tighter acidity ceiling. The figures we publish are ceilings we commit to, and the certificate of analysis gives the actual value for your lot.
Documents prepared for an export shipment include the certificate of analysis, the organic certificate where the organic range is used, and the Tunisian certificate of origin. Delivery terms follow the Incoterm agreed for the shipment.
An outside opinion on the result: CHEBLA oils have received gold medals in international competitions since 2023 — the list is on Tunisian olive oil awards. Export documentation is detailed on Tunisian olive oil export.
