Tunisian Olive Oil Awards

Producing extra virgin olive oil at CHEBLA is not only a tradition: it is a matter of terroir, harvest timing and controlled processing. Since 2023, that work has been judged by international panels, and the oil has been awarded in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

The distinctions below are the ones CHEBLA has actually received. They concern the same ranges we sell to importers and distributors — Tunisian extra virgin olive oil and certified organic olive oil — produced in the mill at Sidi Ali Ben Aoun.

A medal rewards one sample on one day. What matters to a buyer is whether the same profile comes back in every lot, which is a question of process rather than luck:

• Harvest timing — early harvest, the quality rewarded by the United States competition in 2023.
• Cold mechanical extraction below 27 °C, without refining.
• Laboratory control — our own laboratory measures free acidity, peroxide value and UV absorption, and adds a sensory assessment.
• Traceability from olive reception to storage, so a lot can be traced back.

The figures behind each range are published on olive oil quality and international standards, and the analyses themselves on olive oil laboratory analysis.

Awarded oil is available to professional buyers in the same formats as the rest of our production: glass bottles, metal tins and PET for retail, and bulk for bottlers and food manufacturers.
